Based in London with cultural roots in Senegal and France, I’ve been drawing and storyboarding visual narratives for as long as I can remember. Blending a background in international business , marketing with a passion for illustration, I use Basalt Design as a platform to collaborate and think laterally.
On another end, my artistic and creative drive is rooted in a visceral connection to African and diaspora history. Driven by research, I work to trace the continuity between Africa’s past and present, illuminating historical breaks without blame to offer future generations a clear, constructive perspective.
This exploration birthed my signature style, Doc’Art ; an artistic documentation process using oil, collage, and resin to contextualize history through personas and objects across century-wide lenses.
Being self-taught has fully liberated my process, allowing me to continuously master new media and techniques without boundaries.
